Oh yes boys and girls, Christmas is coming!
But fear not, because Christmas on 34th Street is almost here to help you prepare for and enjoy your holiday season in style on Second Life!
Open from December 9th (next Wednesday) all the way through to the 27th (the Sunday after Christmas) you will have plenty of time to visit. Based around the original movie, the event is beautifully themed with cobbled streets, quaint brick shop fronts festooned with lights and wreaths, and gentle snow fall, making you feel like you've stepped into an old black and white movie when you land.
Far from being just another shopping event, Christmas on 34th Street is focussed around gift giving. Not only are all items sold at the event giftable (all items purchased are transfer until opened, and upon opening become copy for the recipient's convenience) but there are treats for shoppers themselves too in the shape of 10L gifts placed under the 4 Christmas trees across the event (10L gifts are not transfer). Gift wrapping stations are also available where you can even pick up boxes to make your gifts look lovely under your own tree this year.
One more thing to note before you go is that there will be a strict script limit enforced throughout the first week of the event to keep the lag as minimal as possible and improve your shopping experience, so be sure to check your script info before teleporting!
Finding your way around couldn't be simpler with the layout map and numbered vendor list!
